Ohio Hot Air Balloon Rides

Believe it or not, Ohio Hot Air Balloon Rides are flown throughout the calendar year. Whether you are considering a scenic flight for a group, or just a romantic getaway with that special someone, the team at Bella Balloons is anxious to serve you.

Winter hot air balloon flights are absolutely gorgeous, but occur infrequently due to weather conditions. Beginning late November, wind speeds increase and ground conditions become wet. Balloons must be packed away dry following flights, so additional planning and communication around ground conditions is crucial. In the absence of dry conditions, the next best situation for winter flying is frozen ground. Although temperatures below 32°F degrees are initially cold to some passengers, seeing snow-covered landscapes from a balloon basket is breathtaking!!!

If you’ve searched for Hot Air Balloon Rides Ohio and you’re looking for an adventure in the Spring, look no further! Flying balloons in Ohio in March, April, or May is an “explosion to the senses”! See, smell, and touch the lush green shades of tree canopies and the spring flowers bursting like fireworks in bloom from the ground. Also, watch with a bird’s eye view farmers plowing and sowing their fields.

Average Spring high temperatures for Ohio sunset flights range between 49 and 71 degrees F, while lows for sunrise flights range between 31 and 51 degrees F. Your pilot will brief you 24 hours in advance regarding proper attire for your specific flight.

Summer Hot Air Balloon Rides in Ohio are very common since both weather and passenger vacation schedules mesh well together! Since average highs for June, July, and August range in the low to mid 80’s plus added humidity, sunset flights are for those passengers who “like it hotter”. Recommended attire for the evening flights includes a hat to shield the head from extra heat coming from the burner at liftoff. Low temperatures for the sunrise flights remain in the 60’s, which is nearly ideal if you are an “early bird”!

Scheduling a balloon flight in Ohio in the Fall is a “Feast for the Eyes”. A typical ride sails over varied landscapes, and include gorgeous colors of oak and maple-lined ridges. As in any Bella Balloons flight, you are also likely to spot whitetail deer, red fox, coyotes and red tail hawks.
